Ports and Maritime Infrastructure:
- Expansion of the Port of Mombasa: To accommodate the growing trade demands, expansions and upgrades were underway at the Port of Mombasa, the largest seaport in East Africa.
Housing and Urban Development:
- Affordable Housing Initiatives: The Kenyan government had launched initiatives to address the housing deficit by promoting affordable housing projects.
Water and Sanitation:
- Water Infrastructure Projects: Investments were being made in water supply and sanitation projects to improve access to clean water and sanitation facilities.
ICT Infrastructure:
- Fiber Optic Connectivity: The country has been working on expanding its fiber optic network to improve internet connectivity and support the growth of the digital economy.
Airports:
- Upgrades to Airports: Improvements and expansions were ongoing at various airports, including Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, to enhance air travel infrastructure.
